Unstable Idle cold start- Feels like a misfire?

Hey Guys,

Past 2 days starting the car in the AM or after sitting for extended period of time... the RPMs do not hold steady. Slight rev, and it kinda bogs up and down a little. I'm thinking something is mis-firing. Running Dinan Stg. 2/ Exhaust.

No Codes, or really any loss of power that I can notice. I'm on a new HPFP every 10K- so this is my third. Car has 25.5K. I drive to NYC every day recently. Think I may try a bottle of Techron see if it helps.

Anyone ever experience this?

This seems to be a common trend right now in the community. I felt like I was having misfires recently because my RPM was bouncing from 600-1200 on a cold start. I did throw a bottle of Techron in and it did "seem" to work, the bouncing RPM are no longer there. Back in the fall when it was getting cold out, I did have misfires however! RPM were really bouncing in the morning, thew a 1/2 engine light, and a bunch of misfire codes. The dealer replaced my injectors and that fixer her all up.

I get the same thing. Mine sits for weeks before it is driven once. I do get a misfire from mine. There were acouple times that I've jumped into the car and noticed limp mode lamp illuminated.

Update:

So I got an ultimate car wash from my friend @ 5 corners in New Hyde Park, Long island. Was so excited to take my daily commute to NYC- freakin car wash gleamin- spray wax etc., first time since the fall.

Bounced on to the highway 2nd- 3rd. Hit 85mph half power- check engine comes on. So I go straight to the dealer, hop in a loaner waiting to hear back. This happen to you guys? Its been feeling kinda slugish in general, bottle of Techron did not do much.

BTW- Loaner is AW e90 LCI 335. My SA is awesome!

I got the 1/2 engine light but I was only crusing around my neighborhood, hope you get it fixed soon. My SA always gets me a 335, but they never compare to your own car! I wonder if everyone beats the sh*t out of it like I do

Hah... defiantly cannot compare. Too many personal touches

Ok, so same issue is bacckkk! The dealer replaced the "low-pressure sensor" Power was on for a few days. Runnin a 550 Marnello- limp mode, fixed it self within a couple miles. He had 1.5 cars to end of fourth gear kept up great!

This morning the jumpy idle is back- is this why every flames the car, should i just live with it or bring it back? Thanks!

I Have the same issue... injector replaced on cyl 6, still the same....

What they did for me to try to fix the issue:

-New HPFP
-Spark plugs
-Ignition coils
- New Injector on cylinder 6

The cold start issue is still there.....
They state that is caused by the fact that the engine is running too rich while cold start / idle....

Yup- strikes again! Started it after work, sat like 6 hrs later. Felt like it was about to stall revved a little jumped down to 400rpm. It then started popping. Settled a little started driving... Total smoke screen, and shaking like a mo fo. Appt. In the am.. F'ed my plans. WTF

They typically replace the all 3 injectors on the bad side (per BMW bulletin)...

All six injectors, plugs replaced, and software update. Leavin Dinan out for a few hundred miles to make sure it is not the cause.
