Ok, well based on what Volks has said, I am taking my car in next week for the brake squeal. If anyone could get a TB#, that would be great, too.

its inevitable...its caused by the fact that bmw decided to use a progressive resistance sensor for cbs data to tell when you need brakes. it doesnt work like the older cars where it was an on off switch. due to cbs and the fact that its a "countdown" system which for brakes isnt exactly based on just milage. regardless, the sensor hits the rotor and typically is what causes the squeel. now..i have seen it caused by the pads having a rough edge around them and ive also seen it caused by the pads rubbing on the carrier(lack of lube). as for the browser i dont really know that much about macs but im just using safari. but then again i use safari on my windows based computer and it works fine? so idk...regardless if it squeels the only thing i can tell you to do is bring it in but id appreciate my name not being mentioned please...unless of course im working on the car lol

Thanks for the info volks. If you have spare time and you're on a browser that works, post up the TSB so we can show our SA's. It's nice having someone on e90post that knows more than just the regular BS floating around the forum.

Saw this as well, if anyone comes out with turbo stuff it will be them and their tune they are coming out with should be good. I am not sure about the internals on the N54, but they have held up past 500 crank hp so far.

I'm sure AMS will look at all aspects. They are an awesome company. Plus, Chicago isn't that far away. With Shiv onboard and now AMS, things are looking bright for the future of this car making some sick big #'s.

I am taking my car in next Monday for door lock actuators. If I am lucky I will be able to replicate the brake squeal and see what we can do about it.

Mine has stopped squeaking...**knock on wood**....for the time being.
Hmm what mod should I get for my car next. Sway bars( I plan on tracking it), Matte Black Window Trim, HID Fogs, etc..
