Honestly, Idk.

It seems like there are so many options.

There is a pic a page back, the wheel is: perforated M3 wheel, tri stitched, with alcantara, with paddles, with carbon fiber trim. Lol seems like alot to me. But it was damn nice!

What wheel is this? http://i8.ebayimg.com/02/i/001/0f/e8/bcb0_12.JPG ? Sorry I cant post pics yet im a noob.

Is that wheel an M-sport? could paddle shifters be used with it?

Next question would the airbag from my non ZSP wheel fit on this wheel?

No, not an M-sport wheel. This is m-sport with perforated sides.

Ok if thats not the m-sport what is it just the ZSP wheel? It is not the same as the stock wheel.

that wheel is a regular sport wheel (zsp wheel). m sport is much thicker than that steering wheel.

oh and your non zsp airbag will not fit that wheel... you need zsp to fit a sport wheel or m sport wheel or m3 wheel.

you'd need to get a new sport airbag and the wiring harness for the airbag. you also need a new steering wheel trim, new buttons, and the steering wheel itself.

The sport air bag and the wiring harness are not sold together? I saw the air bag on tischer for 600.

yes, the other alternative is to reshape the non sport steering wheel itself. this is a good alternative and would cost less than changing the airbag, brakets, buttons, wiring harness, etc.

here's how a re-shaped non sport wheel would typically look like.

non-electronic performance wheel coming soon
Does this require the removal of the airbag? Does the alcantara switch plate screw out from the back of the wheel? I don't want to throw the alignment off if the wheel needs to come off, nor do I want the bag blowing up in my face.

you can remove the trim without removing the airbag but it would be easier if the airbag was removed of course. there are three screws on the back of the airbag that you have to loosen and you should be able to slide the trim piece out. the airbag wont blow up in your face. if youre concerned, you can disconnect the battery to ensure no airbag deployment will occur.

Does any of the steering wheels come closer to driver or are they all the same, despite of difference in size?

well reshaped wheels or the bmw performance wheels dont come closer to the driver. the steering wheel can telescope in and out as well as move up or down... i am guessing the range of adjustment is still insufficient for you?

correct; It would be nice to have it a bit lower, but I surely need to get it closer somehow.

for the cost a job like that, just buy the m3 wheel. cheaper and more cost effective.

Hi everyone,

I am using a non-sport steering wheel as shown below,

I really want to change it to a sport or M-pack steering wheel, like this

by doing so, will I receive any error code?

and where can I order the steering wheel with air bag?

Many thanks

^ PM Alex@Helix - he's thee steering wheel master around here and can set you up with a great deal. In your case you'll also need the sport airbag, but other than that it's a real easy swap (even with the new air bag - I can do it in under 15 mins) and no worries about error codes at all. GL!
