Coding NEWB

Hi, I am new to this forum and recently bought myself a 2007 335i e92 coupe, a couple of days ago I got the dreaded emmission light. So now I need a diagnostic cable & software to identify the part at fault (if any). I know there are lots of other posts on this forum which I have been reading but they all seem to be to technical for me

I am also interested in the coding part as I will probably look into retrofitting an Ipod interface as I only have AUX input at the moment which is dreadfull, so will this cable be able to facilitate this?

That cable claims to have the right specs for your car, but beware of the cheapies. They don't always have the best quality control. Most people have had good luck with the One-Stop cable:

Pay a little more to be sure you've got a decent cable.

got my cable today, just tried installing the INPA software like this video...

but I get an error on part 2 saying that it cannot find BMW.LZH anyone else had this problem?
