Fuel System/Injector Cleaning

Been a noob when it comes to any mechanical things and reading about HPFP failures made me think about doing a "cleanup" of my fuel system. I got my car just last week (will soon upload pics after I finish my mods) and dunno what type of fuel the previous owner have used, I want to make sure everything is nice and clean before using better grade fuel.

Any recommendations?

I've found a few times HPFP failures can be down to the lift pump (low pressure) breaking up...if it's easily to pull out it's worth a look, or run a couple of litres into a bucket and look for swarf
