Technical Service Manual

Hey Guys,

New to the forum here. Does anyone have the service manual for the car that the BMW techs would use? I had one for my STi but was wondering if there is one for the e9X. I did a quick search but came up with nothing.

Thanks

Not sure about the one that the techs use but there is the Bentley Repair Manual for the E90/E92 that pretty much shows you how to do everything.

The two options are the Bentley service manual, or buying time on the BMW TIS. The TIS is what the BMW Techs use. You can buy a 24 hour period for $30 and copy what you want from it. The Bentley has been the standard for aftermarket BMW service manuals for decades.

+1 on the Bentley manual, you can pick it up from Amazon for about 80-90bux.

It breaks everything down very easily and complete instructions on how to take everything apart and put everything back together again.

Bentley doesn't cover 4 cylinder engines, as they are not exported to US :-(

Plus the current rev of the Bentley doesn't cover 2010 (yet).

Why should it? All 2010's are covered under warranty for the next 4 years. Besides there are no real differences between '09s and '10s.

Geez, I was just stating a fact! The warranty is irrelevant to the need for a service manual. Besides, it's the minor differences that can cause problems when working on any car.
