someone needs to release a high boost flash tune with a disclaimer or a waiver saying use at your own risk. The piggy's arent telling you the high boost race maps are safe, or if they are they are lying. they are just saying it will make your car much faster but will put more stress on everything and use at your own risk.

release a flash that you can switch between a regular "safe" street tune and a balls to the wall race tune w/ the flip of a switch and everyone will want it. (or most everyone). Make it diagnostically invisible or make it so you can flash back to stock at your home and then you've got everything covered.

flash > piggy assuming the flash is doing everything correctly.

in some instances, flash + piggy is the way to go if you want the flash to control regular engine functions and the piggy to control add-ons like meth tuning, etc.

you will read pos and neg's on every tune out there. Fanboys and Haters are all over.

in general the Piggy's are making more HP and the flashes are still pretty new.

Hopefully GIAC will make a splash in the N54 tuning scene w/ their new flash.

The results I heard a while ago during development were impressive.

Some of you are clueless .... flashes are limited to 14 psi .... ok

My flash (evotech) is over 15 psi, and both stage 3 & 4 of ESS is 15 psi.

Not sure if you noticed the latest JB3 guys dyno! Most were running 16 -19psi to get the big dyno numbers!

The turbos will not fail at 14+ psi boost. It may wear on the parts a little more but what doesn't when you raise the boost. I think the turbo swap is the next best thing we need. Why aren't we hearing more about that anymore? That died like the VW Phaeton.

The main limitations of any flash (that have been explained to us) is the time it takes to flash the vehicle (45 minutes), and the power supply needed to do it reliably in order to avoid damaging the ECU/DME.

So far there has not been an easy solution for someone to load maps at home. I assume you will have to go to a place like AE performance in order to load maps?

I think that's a big plus for the piggy-backs, that it's so easy to do it at home, and/or even remove the hardware at home.

ya and iv also noticed 5 million threads on the next map for better driability, power, smoothness ect.

a flash tune is a one time tune that giac wants to put out and never have to update again, maybe once or twice but the final tune is what someone can buy, make decent power and forget about the forums.

if they wanted to run high boost tunes they would need a whole department catering to us guys that keep wanting new maps.

giac will put out a tune and move on,the 335 is not there life,so that is why they will keep it under 15

ps.
there also running race gas at the dyno to post up there dyno qween numbers,no one drives that everyday, why is it that everyone that dynos there 335 runs it with the most agressive non reliable setting with race gas just to post up the highest numbers on the forums?

ohhh to say this jb3 map is better than procede v3.x

go ahead and drive that 19psi dyno in 100+ weather and see how your cars runs after a few weeks

Technically, it only takes 45 minutes the first time. The long part is pulling your stock data. Uploading a flash only takes a minute.
