And its not lowered, merely stock like we all got.

What do you recommend?
Go at least 18 and 12. I think you might even be able to do 20 and 15. the XI rides high.

Someone mentioned they added spacers for their summer tires, what size spacers did you use? Do you have any pics?

Thanks...I assume..12 in the back..18 for the front?

I think it should look pretty slick, give it a nice look without lowering the car and worrying about ramps and pot holes.

Once I'm done you can even have a look in person!

You showing up for the April 29th Edmonton Facebook BMW Meetup?

I'd like to see pics as well.

Spacers seem a little pricey for what they are, but if they make a noticeable difference I'd consider them.

Nope, didn't hear of it. Whats going on and where?

Also, I am doing my winter tire change at tire warehouse, they refused to add the spacers because they didn't think it would be safe as it could throw off the preformance aspects of the car and cause problems at high speed. True or False? Anyone?

Also I called BMW for a quote to see what they would charge and I guess they don't do it either.

Are you you doing this by yourself?

Really?

I bought:
-Impact Wrench
-1/2" Torque Wrench (had a 3/8" one ready but added teh 1/2' for the wheels"
-Crappy Tire jack

Yup doing it myself. changing over the tires tomorrow at home, then when the spacers come I'm popping those on in a couple of weeks.

For the BMW Meet, check this out on F/B:

18 front, 12 rear. it makes a big difference. you cant go as aggressive in the rear as the front unless you want to roll your fenders. if you run your finger on the inside of the front and rear fenders you will know what I mean.

Did you lower your car? I remember them having a gap but maybe that was just in my head?

No, I'd love to lower it but really the roads here are crap and there's so much construction that I'd just scratch something. Calgary roads are nasty to nice cars and lowered suspensions.... As it is, I'm going to have to go buy some touch up paint...
