its time for injectors and valve cover gasket, anything else while im at it?
I just replaced all 6 coils and plugs last weekend, they didn't help my miss.
today the dealer says I need a VC gasket (which I knew) and injectors. while I am at it, should I buy anything else since I have it apart? would it be worth my time and money to get the stuff to do my own coding? I have glanced over the big coding thread, and I am fairly confused on where to buy the cable from and how to use the software. or how much it all costs. I really don't want to pay the dealer more than needed, they told me $3200 for a VC gasket and all 6 injectors I am sure it's be a job I can handle myself?? . |

I will check into the rock auto ones, I know that they have to be coded, that's why I was asking about getting the stuff to do it myself. this is something I would like to learn, but at the moment I am not that smart.. or should I just let the dealer handle the coding?

$3200 holy crap.
Injectors are $900-$1000 and VC and gasket is around $300-$400 I believe.

Get an entire new valve cover - it comes with all the bolts you need and tha gasket. Should be less than 370.
While your at it, you should upgrade to the rb Pcv valve. Don't forget to buy a new PCv hose.

I just bought the injectors from ECS tuning. I had other stuff to order and their price wasn't bad, and I got free shipping. I could have scrounged around and saved a few $$ but they have yet to do me wrong.
