Bmw E90 2009 Sat Nav Update
Hi
I Live in Brisbane and have a 320i e90 and have the Nav with the Idrive but its very dated, If i go over the gateway or under any of the tunnells the thing loses its mind. I rang BMW and they want $500 for the 2013 update. Is there a cheaper way to sort this. Please Let me know. Daniel danielxtuttle@gmail.com |

Haha Suj you're a scream
Back on topic lol, have you had a look at GPS Underground? http://gpsunderground.com/forum/bmw/...ic-2012-a.html http://gpsunderground.com/forum/bmw/...road-maps.html You could always download it and burn it to a disc Daniel. One other option would be to ask a BMW Brisbanite forum member on here if you could borrow their disc to load the latest maps in your car. I'm sure if you ask nicely someone should be willing to lend a helping hand. ONE THING TO REMEMBER! DON'T PAY $500 AT THE STEALERSHIPS! |

Are you sure your car's a 2009 model?
2009 models should be LCI (refresh) but going by the mirrors and moustache above the grills, yours looks like a pre-LCI. You can check the build date from the sticker on the underside of bonnet. Assuming it's pre-LCI, eject the DVD from the DVD-Drive to see what version you have (v14?) and colour (green=business, purple=professional). |

Either way can't I just pay someone to sort this out for me! I know jack all about cars I just know 500 is too much to pay for a minor upgrade! Ill pay $250 if someone can sort it for me! I don't know how to write stuff on to DVD s and I'm not that cool with transferring money to people over the net that isn't a shop!
$250 anyone who can sort it for me |

Your car is definitely a pre-LCI E90 320i Daniel by what I can see in the picture at the top. What I need to know from you is whether you have the business or professional navigation? Is yours 8.8'' screen or the 6.5'' business screen which is about half the size of the professional? Best bet would be to take a photo of your dashboard with your phone or camera that way I can help you out with your request.
Happy to help a fellow forum member out if he can provide me with everything I need Just PM me and we'll sort this out. |

If your looks like the attached pic, it means you have the CCC Business iDrive. They changed to the CIC Business iDrive From Septermber 2009 onwards. I also have the CCC version from early 2009 and without map updates so far.
