Newbie: First Time BMW Owner

Its my first BMW and so far I'm loving it, except for how quite it is. Its a 2011 335i conv, black sapphire metalic, oyster/black interior, M Sport package, 19" wheels, NAV, etc.... Bought it to use as a DD and to travel with. My 07 Dodge Charger SRT8 "SuperBee" is now my weekend toy, its slightly modified, 449rwhp.LOL

I'll keep looking and learning as I explore this forum. Read lots of good info so far. First mod-BMW performance exhaust, the quiteness is driving me crazy.

Welcome!

Funny you should mention the superbee. My boss is always modifying his blue superbee (currently installing new titanium springs and new rocker arms).

What times are you running in the quarter with it? I'll ask him his official mod list.

Thank you for the welcome. Modding the BMW is going to be limited to the exhaust for now. Once out of warranty, then I will do more.

I have been to the track a few times. I'm a paraplegic and launching with hand controls takes getting used to. 60' times not the greatest, 12.8 sec 1/4 mile. I'm still learning but haven't been to the track in a year. Getting traction is the hardest part.

Thank you for the compliments. The 335i hand controls are on the right and is a clean installation allowing the use of the tilt/telescopic functions. Plus they are made in Germany. The SuperBee has left-hand controls and the tilt/telescopic function had to be disabled because the controls mount under the steering column.

Both cars are fun to drive, the 335i its better on curvy roads and MPG. At best, the SuperBee gets 20 MPG on the highway, 9-14 MPG city but its a blast to drive at WOT.
