Since you're new here (welcome btw) I'll cut you a bit of slack before the police kicks in and hammers you.

In TDot a lot of guys go to Ivo @ Columbus Automotive, RMP, and Bimmersport. Personally I go to Darren @ DC Motorwerx (formerly Alphawerx Auto) because he's close by and was a former BMW tech as well. On the east end of the city I know a lot of people like dealing with Street Xtreme and Speedstar.

thanks very much!
sorry for not searching before i asked.....

also thanks for the recommendations....when you say a lot of guys go to these shops, is it because of their workmanship or price? or perhaps both?

hopefully I will get more insight...btw im located north of toronto, in york region....

In general it is because of both and their familiarity with our cars from all the feedback that gets posted. York region is a pretty big area. But if you're more south central (ie. RH, Thornhill, Maple) it might be worth getting in touch with Darren @ DC Motorwerx.

371 John Street, Unit 4 (it's in the Thornhill Sq area)
Markham, Ontario L3T 5W5
416-722-6268

You can tell him Alfred gave you his info. He has generally received good feedback from members @ MaxBimmer as well (search Darren and Alphawerx Auto) so you don't have to just take my word on the place.

I think the paddle shifters were a $500 option.

You should definitely bargain and get the last rims on this list.

ive found a couple in toronto but they are way overpriced and the dealers have brought them in from the states anyways...sooo no scheduled maintaince anyhow....taxes and everything considered its coming out like 7 grand cheaper if i get it from the states myself...or do i just wait and get the 2.0l diesel f31 when they arrive in summer.... i think its all gonna depend on how much longer my 99 mustang runs...and ive been trying to kill it lately...thing wont die!!!...lol

The paddle shifters were definitely an option. As for the wheels being swapped out, there really isn't much room to bargain with them about it unless the price is really high. If it's a good deal, just get the rims later with what you saved on the purchase price.

I did my 328i at Autolinks two years ago, going to plan to do my M3 there in the next month or so. I can't recall exactly how long, but I was watching him do it, just talking to him while it was getting done. Very pleasant people.

looks like they moved locations though. I don't recall them being located at the current address on the website.

I'm just trying to gauge my time if I should wait for go somewhere, I can deal waiting for about 1.5 hrs I'm sure I enjoy watching them install it.

Wasn't me dude. Never imported from the States.

Havok, John from Auto-Links has moved from their old location on Birchmount to the current one on Nantucket Blvd near Kennedy/Lawrence. I've done lots of work with him but they are crazy busy so make sure to book in advance. They take their time but the job is ALWAYS done right.

Devin, Ivo's price was sick but the drive out west for an east ender like myself is tough to do for regular maintenance stuff. Ivo is definitely the go to guy for big projects.
