On a side note, FFTEC has been very good with their communication thus far. They even inspected the car upon arrival. They are even emailing me pics to show me the progress. Cool stuff!

It should be fun! You should have been here for the abuse-a-thon we subjected our car to today for magazine testing. 19 back to back 1/4 passes at Fontana. 75F at 1100' above sea level. I'll post a thread about it later. But the highest trap speed was 133.1mph. I believe that was faster than the Maclaren MP4-12 and the Hennessey Twin Turbo Ford GT they tested recently

Where was my invite? There is an invention called a plane that would have allowed me to be there. LOL! I can't wait to read the write-up! It sounds like the car is holding up well to the boost you are running. Did you run the PT6262 for the testing? Time to up the boost yet and see what we are comfortable running on my car?

We are still running the same 62mm turbo that we have been from the start. The car is running 23psi and is holding up well. We actually drove it down (no trailer) last night. 400 mile drive. Still a lot more to do in this little "road trip" of ours. I'll update the forum when we get back home next week

That is very very impressive. I believe that Maclaren MP4-12 ran 11 sec 1/4...cant' wait for your new thread.

Id hardly call 1100 "at altitude"....although Fontana is notoriously known for being a slow track.

Side Note - to my knowledge, from the pictures, the car was not tested on the "real" drag strip that Fontana has, it was tested in the same location Edmunds and others use....there are plenty of comparos on youtube, LFA, GTR, ZR1, GT500, etc etc. It looks like it was tested going the opposite direction (cause the real drag strip is uphill).

Nonetheless, his 133mph trap would translate to at least 135mph at Famoso

for reference, my car trapped 115-116 at Fontana and went 120 at Famoso with no other changes.

I was wondering why there was no VHT in the pictures. That explains it...

FFTEC is sending me updates, but as of right now I only know that they were tearing the car down and prepping it. I know I am one of the first, so I don't want to rush anyone. I hope a few more weeks maybe?

All I can ask for is good communication and they have done that. This is not a small upgrade and I do expect it to take a little time. I have done singles on prior cars and waited 6 months to get the thing back! LOL!

jpsimon, it has been a long, long wait. It is crazy to think about something for a while and now see it happening. Seeing the manifolds off really made this seem more of a reality now!
