changing tires - need security lug?

do bmws have a special custom bolt on tires that require a customized adapter for the wrench (e.g. like the ones NA cars have to prevent tire theft). if so, where is the adapter located?

i took delivery of my car and just making sure everything is in place. so far flashlight's missing, gotta check the toolbox. is there a jack that comes standard?

The security lug nut as far as I know isn't standard. my dealer installed it for me. All you have to do is look at the bolts, if they appears as standard hex head 17mm bolts then you need no special adapter. If one of them looks a little different than the other 4 then you do.

No jack... Say hello to runflats.. another "handy" invention mostly targeted towards women to make them feel "safe" and hence sell more cars.

Flashlight should be there... probably one of those lights currently on sale on ebay is yours

The special lug key should be inside the tool kit in the trunk.
