Is JB4 100% disabled on Map 0?

Hi everyone! i have this question...

Like the title says, is it completly turned off in Map 0? JB4 will not make eny changes to values and such and the car will be completly stock?

So lets say the car throws a code in Map 0, then JB4 has nothing to do with it right? is it completly bypassed?

Your input is greatly appreciated!

The G5 Jb4 is never fully bypassed, you'll have to remove it.

You'll have a slight weight disadvantage with the JB4 plugged in.

JB4 is never really off. I have to laugh at all the morons on here who think they can sneak the JB4 past their dealer in Map 0. Every single tech at my local dealership knows what the JB4 is and it doesn't take half a brain for them to jump in your car and press the steering wheel buttons down and see what happens.

My dealer took mine out of map 7 into map 0 so they could reprogram something for a a faulty sensor they replaced

Was mad when I got into my car and all my coding was gone, my tune was gone and the JB4 was in map 0, but then realized that they must not care since they covered everything under warranty. Made for a rough ride home on a stock map with e85 in the tank though

Some diagnostic tools that use the OBDII port won't work with the engine running with the JB4 on map 0. Bavarian Tech and INPA I believe and maybe more. With the engine off they work, and flashing obviously works, at least using the BT cable for BMS backend flashed and NCSexpert for Alpina TCU flash, in my experience. BMS-MHD backend flashing obviously works at least when done correctly, as they sell a special license for that purpose.

I vaguely remember reading somewhere that the later version JB4 ISO is still doing something even in map 0, like wastegate control and some CAN stuff but I may be wrong about that.

edit: OK yeah it is still running in map 0 see here:

Jb4 can be locked out with a laptop. You can lock out the steering wheel option when you bring it in.
