Towbar for 320d ED?

I want to occasionally do some light towing but BMW does not offer a towbar option for this model. Apparently, towing is against the BMW ethos of 'Efficiency Dynamics' as it will reduce fuel efficiency!
Frankly, I don't care about fuel efficiency when occasionally towing a small trailer (max 250 kg). Any towbar that fits the 320 saloon range (E90) should technically fit my car too.
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has fitted a towbard to their 320d ED as I cannot get a straight answer from the BMW dealers I have spoken to so far.

I have a westfalia detachable towbar with 13 pin socket which i took off my E90 if your interested, it will definately fit and is completely hidden.
