edit: confirming that Motastic is fantastic taking care of this

10 car minimum is needed to make this work out for everyone. This will probably span over a 2-3 (maybe 4?) day period. I am going to try and get a few done around Houston to know how long it takes me to do it, that way I can schedule you guys accordingly throughout the day.

Enterprise is right around the corner if you need a rental car for the day. I am going to talk to them and see if i can get a special discount- IF we get confirmed needed rentals. If not, I will need your car for the day to make sure i have enough time for each car....... so plan on dropping off and getting picked up, or dropping off the night before.......

shop location is in Grapevine texas, where i will be performing the work....... and you guys can see a REALLY good shop for your other local needs when i get done

I have known this shop for a LONG time, and they know their stuff

awesome. updated thread. I need 7 more people and we can make this dream a reality!

think of clean clean intakes like cleaning your room. So much more room for you to move around when its not messy.

ok maybe bad analogy but i tried

im currently doing one right now. had to make some mods to my tools, and trying to find the most efficient way of doing them..... plus getting a feel for how long it takes.

want to do another houstonite's tomorrow for a "real" job. if you know anyone, please PM me or contact me. today is test and tune day for me so-to-speak on my equipment.

i guess ill be bringing common stuff that is missing on these cars as well....... allen bolts for the valve covers, screws for the microfilters, threaded clips and machine screws for microfilter housing, and some hose clamps.

if you want me to replace them, it will be just for the part (obviously) i doubt it will add up to more than 10 bucks to replace everything (if needed or wanted)

what would be reallly cool is if you dynod a before and after to see if there is any gain (if any is expected?) I know I originally said I would be interested, but with my recent Cobb purchase, and then plugs, and wheels all in the same month or so... Pretty sure my wife would straight up slit my throat if I did this Maybe I'll get in on the next one..

+1 dyno'ing a before and after. You'd be the first to do it, so it will be much appreciated in the community!

You did some incredibly good work on Nafoo's car. Can't wait to have it done to mine!!

What is thread killer going to be fabricating? Also, why is he purchasing equipment if the shop is familiar with doing the work? Do they not have the tools?

I fabricated some of the tools needed to do the walnut blasting. mainly, the piece that is inserted into the intake port to hold the vacuum/wand assembly.

what shop are you speaking of? I *am* the shop
or are you talking about the shop in dallas? I know them VERY well, and they are happy to let me use their shop..... in turn, they may have 10 potential local customers that may use them for everything/anything else they may need.

I have done this at the dealer (when i was there) i just made my own tools.

Thanks for the explanation. Please put me down for this. My car has 73k miles and probably needs it. I'm tuned with a Procede V5 (if that matters)

@motastic Have you ever performed this on a 535? I think the intake is slightly different as well as some of the sensor locations. Just curious if the 535 would create any additional challenges?
