Chris, there's not a lot I can say that hasn't been said but my sincere sympathy for the situation you have found yourself in.

If I can add any value regarding selling your car it's that I have recently used weWANTanycar.com and found them to be thoroughly decent to deal with and the process was simple and as promised. Just be honest when describing the car to get your quote.

And it goes without saying, a small donation has been made and I hope things turn out for the best for you and your family.

Mate I don't know what to say. My thoughts and deepest sympathy goes to you and your children. It goes without saying that a donation will be sorted.

I can't offer any more advice than other people have already regarding the car.

I'm really sorry for your loss mate. If there is anything we can do please do say ok.

A truly awful and tragic situation, I am at a loss for words. I have made a small donation to your Just Giving page, a really worthy cause.

Glad to see so many people with kind hearts still around on here - especially those that have come out of the woodwork to show their support.

I wish there was more we could do.

I have spoken to my other half about this who's uncle took his own life due to his financial situation. It has really hit home with us.

All the best once again Chris and family..

Chris, awful news, really very sad and I wish you and your family well through these tough times and well into the future as some things you just never get over (nor want to sometimes). I'm absolutely skint right now but have made a diary note to make a donation on 28th.

Tragic story Chris, tugs at the heartstrings more so when children are involved.
It certainly put's ones own woes into perspective reading such stories, and you have my deepest sympathies.

I've just sold something on the forum,so I couldn't resist hitting a milestone figure on the 'Giving' page.

Stay strong, and do let us know if we can do anymore.

Words fail me when I read such sad news.

I hope that you can stay strong for your children and I hope that your family is around you when you need them.

Good luck with the sale of the car. Donation left.

can I say a big thank you to all of you on the forum who have donated The kids have really enjoyed watching the donations and messages coming in and it has been touching to see how much people care. It is a really worthy cause as sadly we are quite happy to talk about a physical injury e.g. broken leg and tell everyone what happened and when it should be fixed but there is still a stigma attached to mental illness. The fact I have 2 kids is giving me great strength to pick up the pieces and carry on. It is my youngest birthday next Tuesday with the funeral on the 29th and those are what I am focusing on now. I have always enjoyed this forum which is why I stayed around after defecting to the other side and this just shows what a good bunch of guys are on here. Thank you all I have had offers of between £2.5k and £2.6k from the web buyers and a forum member has offered £2k cash so getting somewhere with the car again thanks for the help.

..meant to say, another alternative would be using a trader who will sell your can on your behaldf for a flat fee. They take you car away, advertise it, handle queries & the sale, give you the proceeds minus their fee (a guy near me charges £300). An excellent option if you ask me (if you can find one local). Gets the car off your driveway, no hassle, and a better price than WBAC, etc, will offer.

This is the guy I'm going to likely use when I sell the Zed www.cfcsales.co.uk . He's sold about 5-6 friends & families cars. Palmnuts also knows a guy who does similar. Neither local to you but surely there's someone near.

Chris, I can only echo what others have said. My sincere condolences. Sadly I have encountered such a tragic circumstance twice in my life, once when I lost a close friend in my 20s and again when a friend's wife took her life a couple of years ago. I shall certainly be continuing to support the Samaritans, as my eldest step-daughter volunteered for them when she was at university and I shall make a donation as soon as possible.

Chris, hope you're doing alright, just made a small donation to a very worthy cause as promised and giving your thread a free-bump also in case anyone missed it first time round and would like to make a donation too.
