Converting to wheel studs - which length?
I will be purchasing a new dedicated set of wheels and tires for the summer/track and I would like to convert from bolts to studs. TurnerMotorsports offers a 75mm and a 90mm studs.
My question is which length of studs should I be purchasing? I don't want to end up with the wheel studs sticking out too much past the nuts, but at the same time, I want to make sure that the nuts will safely and securely hold the wheels in place. Recommendations, suggestions, ideas?

We carry the RSD stud kits that are available in 3 sizes, 57mm, 75mm and 91mm. The 57mm kit is for a complete OEM replacement, but you cannot use spacers on it. The 75mm kit can be used with anywhere from a 5mm - 12mm spacer, and the 91mm can be used with spacers up to 25mm in size. If you have any other questions regarding the stud kit conversions, let me know.

For track use, I would suggest the 75mm stud conversion kit. This allows you some room to work with if you ever plan on increasing the track. The studs wont be sticking out too much and you will still retain a nice look with or without spacers.

75mm is perfect. I just got the Turner 75mm and the studs do not stick out too far at all. IMHO they are the perfect length.

I have the 95mm Muteki kit forged shanks and nuts. It is easier to mount wheels with these because the bolts stayin the hubs, so you can set the rim on the studs instead of just the Hub so installation is faster and easier. Here is a video to give you a better idea: (Not my video) |
