Sounds like its going to be a big turnout this weekend
hey DR-JERK, how's the battery going and what did you end up getting?

my battery's starting to play up, but I don't know if I should wait till after I do that recall since I'm not likely to buy it from BMW

has anyone done that recall and will they say anything if you've changed to a battery not at BMW?

Have a look @ post #51 in my build thread

Well no dramas with it, and I cant see there being an issue if you change your battery to a non bmw battery...

The finishing time probably depends a lot on how many people want to run Dynos. If its like last time I was there, the dyno testing only got start in the afternoon after the BBQ was completely finished.

Cool, I would probably pop around during the afternoon and meet a few guys. Hopefully Shane would stick around as I would love to see his 335i.

My 335i tune ONLY (20% E85) made 262wkw on a auto-tune map. I had a custom map ready but it was way to hot to run it. Not bad considering the baseline is about 185wkw. That's almost 80wkw gain with just the JB4 G5 ISO.

Thanks to Pete and the guys for a great day.

Thats an awesome result mate, well done!

Whats the go with E85, I believe the JB4 has a map for running E85? Can a smiliar thing be done with the procede?

Thanks to advan once again for hosting the dyno day!

Thanks JEKL. The car feels pretty strong for just a $480 tune only.

Yes it's just a auto-tune map that adjusts to conditions (octane, temps etc). I'm not familiar with the procede but no doubt it has a similar map.

Here's my dyno graph.

The E85 mix, is that just a petrol mix?
