The 2nd stage will be a larger turbo with our intake manifold and fuel injectors and rail.

Before we can hit the dyno we need to build a strong engine brace support on the bottom of the car (right where the V-brace was). My guys will order up the metal tomorrow and we should have some dyno results later on in the week.

I can't post pricing on this thread but we already have pricing figured out.

Chris.
Chris please ask Kirk to reply back to email I sent to him. I'm waiting nervously

So, when using your intake manifold, is it stock DI PLUS port injection with your manifold? Or is it all new HPF rails and lines?

Don't remember what the underside of the car looks like but why the elimination of the stock V brace?

The HPF kit is roughly twice the price of RBs. As far as performance goes we won't know until they dyno it. I'm thinking the performace difference won't be enought to justify the price on stage 1. stage 2 will probably be the kit to have. If stage 1 makes ~500whp then i don't see the value to the kit. As far as stage 2 goes, if it's only ~$3K more for +800whp($9K-$10K) then that would definately be worth it to some people.
Who knows stage 1 might make ~650whp. That would be some pretty good stuff, until we see HP/TQ numbers it's all speculation.

Have you given the question of upgraded internals (pistons/rods) a thought?

thats actually not too bad... RB's with install is almost 6k.

things are really going to get interesting when Shiv releases his kit, and when the rest of the copy cats release theirs...

I have a feeling prices will start to become more competitive

Well I only can hope my PWM kit is compatible! but I might have to sell the car and get a 6spd 6AT will only last so long....

"HPF Stage 1 N54 turbo kit for $5950. This will include the turbo manifold, journal bearing Precision turbo, wastegate, oil scavenge pump and hardware, downpipe, intake charge pipe, motor mount, motor mount relocation kit, VBrace, fittings, couplers, etc."

Very well priced IMHO.

RB turbos is only $3000 after core refunded. most shop i called and talked to quoted me from $800-1500. so total is around $3800 to 4300 with everything installed.

Yep.. that's what I was thinking...

if I am correct; the only requirements for the RB's are a tune, catless downpipe, intake and intercooler, right?

Basically a few basic bolt ons.

I think you guys complaining about how stage one wont make any more power than rbs are forgetting a few things. If 500whp is all you want then get the rbs. But your pretty much capped power wise after that, you might be able to squeeze a few more ponies with the HPF Intake manifold or if cobb figures out something once they get the rb's on. If you go with HPF stage 1 kit and get bored with it after a while, upgrade to stage 2. They'll probably have a stage 3 kit one day too, so if you get tired of stage 2 you can move up. Plus the exhaust manifold is designed so you can swap in any other turbo with the same flange. Lot more flexibility with the HPF kit, than rbs. And if what people are saying is true about us AT guys not needing a rebuilt it's just another plus. My only concern is how the hell would I smog that beast in CA??? Finding a shady smog tech would be great, but I'd hate having to revert back to stock every 2 years...

Just a guess, but i'm thinking ~$9K total will be the cost to have stage 1 up and running.

I am not sure we know yet the full capability of the RB's...

Remember, the difference between RBs vs a single turbo is that there would be more hp in the higher rpms (greater than 5500 rpm). So, you won't have that usual dropout that we usually see with our turbos and upgraded twins.

500 HP and 500 TQ doesn't mean anything unless you see where those numbers are made.
