Jb4 USB routing to glove department

Can someone guide me on this? I followed the n54 tutorial but I think n55 is different. The hole below the ecu fan doesn't allow me to push the cable down. Any help please!! Thanks! Happy holidays

Can someone please assist in this. I just want to know how n55ers are routing their USB cables. I searched but a lot of posts are vague. Please...

I ran my cables for my laser jammers along the right side of the engine compartment and into the cab. Pop the cover the the electronic box, pull the large black rubber boot out from where water drains trough but leaves don't, you'll see a silver dollar sized black rubber bun with a large wire (loom maybe) coming through the middle of it. I poked a hole through that, pushed my 24" long flexible booger-picker type tool through the hole and into the cab. Went into the car with a flash light an looked around until I found my tool poking through.

Only thing to watch out for is pulling the leaf guard thing off. There are two plugs that help secure it. The tough one is low, against the firewall, and more towards the center of the car.

You can feed it through without removing anything in the ECU, it's a bit tricky but keep feeding it down a hole you see at the bottom back of the white ECU box until you see it at the bottom of the glove compartment. You need to unscrew those small torx crews you see at the bottom of the glove compartment to fish out the USB cable coming down. If you don't see it, stick your hand in there. If you need to use a metal hanger to push down the usb cable down that hole, use it. I almost had to use it.

That hole is blocked in the n55. you are talking about the hole below the ecu fan hole correct? The USB cable doesn't fit in the hole. I was able to unscrew the 4 large torx screwdrivers and move the box out to push the wire down but I didn't see the wire underneath.

So below the white box is the glove box?

n55 here, use the hole in the back of the ecu box. There is a channel there going right where the passenger carpet ends.

So you want to first remove all the stuff in the corner (basically remove the strainer (i believe that is what it is called) you will route your usb/serial cable over to this area

Next you will follow the wires that come from the DME to the firewall, when you get to the firewall you will find a grommet

when you start to feed it into the grommet you will see it come out by the fuse box in the glove box

Hope this helps you out, I was a little behind and could not get the picture of the grommet, kinda a PITA to get a picture of

Wow that's the complicated way!

Using the internal wire routing channel towards the passenger inside the box it takes 30 sec to route the wire towards the passenger foots. No need to open the glove box or unscrew anything.

I should take a picture but its impossible for me right now.

I think your right. I looked at the wires closer. I think that's an n54 ecu box.
