Exclamation v4beta log

Hi guys,
Been testing the newest version of the v4 beta software. It's a bit more complete than the version that I've emailed to a few people. No new features really. Just more functional load targeting/boost control logic. Here's an example of what it does now in a 2nd thru 4 gear run on a nice flat road. Again, this is running 14-15psi on 91oct. No methanol. No race gas. Full Stg 3 car 6MT.

60-100mph time of 3.96s seconds with a shift (starting in 2nd). This is with no add-on "shift delay fix" or "bogfix". This is just our new standard boost control system. There is no signal clamping or fixed DC% output. You'll notice that it maintains 10psi between shifts with moderately quick shifting (0.45s). Unlike v3, it doesn't require super quick shifting (0.3-.35s) to activate. Nor does it require full throttle lifts to trigger. In fact, if you do a partial lift (not shown), neither the DME nor the car will protest with throttle closure or limps unlike it would without v4. You'll just hold even more boost between shifts just as you would in a normal turbo engine devoid of torque limiting nannies.

I'll be sending this version of the firmware/map to a few beta testers tomorrow. Expect wide release of 6MT maps next week.

Cheers,
Shiv

3.96 is fast especially without meth or race gas I am pretty sure that is close to hotrods times with meth. How accurate is that compared to vbox times, also could you do some 60-130 runs.

Looks fantastic. When you release the maps and firmware will we get the new user software with the 4 maps?

The speed reading is accurate to +/-1 mph on my car. Confirmed with radar gun at Road&Track magazine testing. Absolute accuracy depends on tread depth/rolling diameter of the wheel/tires. So yes, pretty darn accurate. Running up to 130 takes some planning. Not something I can do on my little test road.

I haven't ever wanted the general population to run something so bad. I'm just excited for the community as a whole to run this, it's just that good.

when you do the wide release for the 6mt next week, will it have the "shift-delay fix" activated as well?

What was the DTC status on this log? It looks like you lost a little traction after throttle application in 2nd.

Anyway, looks good.

Hi Shiv,

Has new v4 improvements regarding injection strategy, for example single, double or triple injection event? I always noticed (stock and Procede) different responses on account of these different modes of injection.

The last maps v3 improved the response regarding timing, closure of throttle. But I think that N54 changes a lot when it alternates between single, double or triple injection event. Injection of the fuel can take place in up to 3 individual injections, this has the effect of both increasing power output and saving fuel.

Thanks
