The Active Autowerke BMW E9x Performance Header is designed to increase exhaust flow without losing power which can sometimes be a tricky proposition. These headers are developed to create optimum flow and eliminate restriction that rob much desired horsepower. .

They are suitable for naturally aspirated and supercharged forced induction applications, Active Autowerke’s BMW E9X Headers are made out of 100% 304 stainless steel, making durability a worry of the past.

Are they difficult to install? Absolutely not! Robust exhaust flanges with recessed mounting holes make it easy to install. If you can turn a ratchet, you’ll be on your way to increasing horsepower.

The factory exhaust catalysts are removed in the process, making this solution recommended for off-road applications.
NOTE:
-HEADER SYSTEM IS DESIGNED FOR OFF ROAD USE AND RACING APPLICATION ONLY

I currently have my secondary cat and resonator deleted with a remus exhaust, I wonder if with these headers will my set up show even higher numbers than your headers with stock 2ndary cats and muffle?

In theory it should. If you search around, dynos for secondary cat removal average out to be a 5-10 whp gain. You should go for it. Might end up with the forums fastest n52? Assuming you add a 3 stage too...

I think he has a 330, so he has the 3 stage already. But I don't think you'll gain 10whp by just removing the secondary cats. I'd think it'll be more like 2 or 3 whp, if that...

Depends on your muffler ... The engine likes a little back pressure

Im interested in one of these, My warranty is up on 07/15 so it would sit on my garage until then. Have you guys seen a noticeable gain on gas mileage? Ive read that the ecu dumps a lot of fuel to cool the cats when they are present. And from other forum members that have ran a catless set up, it would seem that there is a decent improvement on mpg.

We have noticed around 1 mpg better with the software but, as far as the headers causing the car to dump more fuel this is true only if its untuned. We lean the car out a little when headers are installed which is why its very important to get a software update not only for the cel light but for the extra tuning as well.
