Hi everyone,

I followed strictly the repair instruction for removing fuse box panel:-

https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e...minals/Obqgt5i

However, i could not access to the right hand upper corner screw which is blocked by the heat box (blower motor) . I could not remove the fuse box panel now, so cannot replace my ecu fan

Anyone could help on this please

Anyone know what the fuse size is for the e-box fan shown in post #12? I'm getting code 2F71.

So the fuse in the DME box is a 40amp. I replaced it and unfortunately I'm still getting the same 2F71 code come back after erasing it.

I was poking around with my Foxwell NT510 and I found under the Live Data for motor operating values.. that there is a temperature reading for inside the DME box. I've had this running on my normal work commute (SoCal weather) for a couple weeks and it quickly goes from ambient when it's sitting to around 110f to 120f.. I just did a Vegas trip so driving for around 4 hours straight in in upper 80s lower 90s temperature and I saw it go up to 145f was the highest I saw. Everything was peachy as usual, nothing odd and I've had this code since the first time I scanned the car when I bought the NT510.

Just wanted to give some insight into what I'm seeing. I'd appreciate if anyone else wanted to chime in on the temperatures they're seeing from both e-box fan working and non-working just so we can see how much of a difference it really makes.

*EDIT* searching 2F71 on Google shows this thread as the first hit, additional information on 2F71 is here https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1509678
