Best data logging/code reader
This is a bit of a lazy post cos no doubt there is plenty of info in the forum about this, so apologies first of all.
What do you guys rate as the best onboard data logger/code reader that I can use at the track. (335i MT) I want to be able to read codes and if there are no codes but limp mode, what is causing the limp, so I can then target upgrades to overcome the limp modes. Thanks |

I have my Cobb AP with me at the track to read/clear codes if necessary, and I bought an AIM Solo DL for datalogging.
If you're talking about a drag strip then just use the cobb for datalogging also. |

Cobb datalogs a lot more engine functions and you'll get run information from your timeslip. The Solo DL is more geared towards a racetrack... Also I don't know if everyone else's Cobb is the same but mine tends to lose connection after a while and have to be unplugged/plugged back in... if you're out in a 25-30 minute session you're not going to notice and you'll miss a lot of your logging info.
