Can anyone recommend a waffle maker

Just as the title reads.

But I'm looking for a bad ass one and not the typical type available at walmart.

One that makes huge waffles and fast.

Thanks.

^^^waffle bot would be pretty awesome!! Lol

Side note William Sonoma has some of the best small appliances. Check out All Clad Belgian waffle maker or traditional round waffle maker. They also have some excellent batter mixes you won't find anywhere else.

You could also check out a bed bath and beyond they have a lot of choices and are not as expensive as William Sonoma.

Thanks for the input fellas.

Not really sure if you're providing first hand knowledge though. I'm looking for a solid thumbs up by someone who actually owns one and is willing to vouch for how good it is.
I'm just tired of trying them out and then returning them for being too slow, thin or flimsy.

I'll have to check the one I have at home. I picked it up at Fry's for about $80. Makes two at once !!!
Pour batter, close lid, flip
Pour batter, close lid, wait for first.
Can get a real assembly line going, and the brown-ness can be controled with a wheel on front.
Once the first comes out, I can make them faster than people can eat them.

I bought a fancy ass waffle mix, but Bisquick is my go-to. Real maple syrup from Maine is where I waste my waffle dollars now.

I own the one i posted. it's awesome. Once it's warmed up (about 2 min) You can make 6 waffles in 8- 10 min. And they are good. You can fine tune the amount the waffles are cooked making them lighter and fluffy or dark with crispy outside and fluffy inside.

easy to clean up too. comes with the batter scoop so you have just the right amount for each waffle.

They all seem to come with that scoop now. I found the old one from the previous maker we broke thru use, and they measure the same.

I'd see if Breville or Bugatti makes one. I'm big on fancy toasters and have one from each of them. The Bugatti one is cool because they come in pretty much any color you want from standard to individual, mines red go figure...

We've got a Kitchen Aid Pro Line one and it makes excellent waffles. It's quick and doesn't look like ass when it's out on the counter. Around $200.

damn you. I fell for it.

I too am looking to replace our $10 waffle maker that served us well over the past few years. It's now broken, but I'd like to upgrade w/ our next one. Thanks for the suggestions so far.

Would also appreciate any other ones that are sub-$150. The Waring ones are $300+.

2012 is coming to a close soon... and I think I vote this thread as most random question of the year.

^ That is the diversity that is America. SOME of us really like our <insert item here> and are willing to ask for the advice of other like-minded individuals.

P.S. just don't "insert" any more blue waffles. . .

I have no idea what the blue waffle is when you google it, but I've been around long enough to hear it in many threads - enough to know I do not want to google it to see what it is. What has been seen cannot be unseen. I fear it is something like 2g1c which is also something I have avoided.

But it made me laugh as I went through the thread wondering how many fish would go google it. I'll bet it was more than just the one person who admitted to it!
