2010 328i Coupe Question
I'm in the market for a new car and came across this. I've seen the service records and the maintenance has been kept up to date.
After my trade I'm looking at $16,000 OTD. How's the reliability? Are there things I should be on the lookout for? I want something that I can get in and enjoy every day and not be worried to death about the long term reliability. The CPO ends 11/23/2015. The 4/50k ends 11/23/2013. I do have a great Indy place locally that I used in the past for my z3 so I'll use then once the maintenance is up. Trying to get rid of the nagging thought of it might be unreliable. |

Its under warranty till 2015 anyways so what difference does it make lol The N52 motor is a very very very good motor with MUCH less problems then the 335's. Ask any of the N/A guys what they think about the 325's, 328's & 330's....There all reliable with proper maintenance.

Love my 328i... bought it at like 38k at 75k now.. Battery change and front pads.. That is it so far. I drive 20-30k a year lol. I hear the adaptive headlights break and cost a ton tho.. That is about it.

I stand corrected. It has the standard Xenon headlamps not the adaptive version.

2010's and some early '11s came with a LOUSY base radio system. I personally would pass on those models. Unless you want to upgrade the sound system yourself.

Exactly what I was going to say...be prepared for a popping/tearing sound out of the base stereo system...honestly pos headunit and speakers compared to older and newer models. Complained a dozen times but the SA's had no idea what I was talking about. The problem is that the 2010's came with a self amplified headunit powering all the speakers rather than a separate amp powering the speakers like they usually come with. This causes the headunit to be underpowered and not properly able to power the speakers causing tearing/popping sounds randomly especially when the window is down and your driving on the highway. I've been told that is the one year that BMW went the cheap route on their stereos...go figure. In the beginning the tear sound was so loud I thought I hit something on the road every time. But if you don't bump your music then this really doesn't apply to you.
