Very impressive numbers. Congrats!!
You guys are lucky.. I wish we had tracks like Atco and Mir here on the West Coast. Atco for example would spray VHT traction compound on the entire 1/4. The track was so sticky, our crew chief literally walked right out of his shoes at the starting line. We ran about 4 tenths quicker then we do down at Sac or Pomona.

Very impressive. Yet, if you notice, since you have a lsd, and drag radials, you barely hit the highest 11's. No doubt a good job, but with a trap speed like that, I would rather have a much higher trap than what was accomplished. Good job!

129 and 130mph traps are just amazing though. I have a buddy with a turboed C5 Z06 putting down 570whp or something close, and he's "only" trapping in the mid 130s. I wouldn't think a stock C6 Z06 would be that close

Even in naturally aspirated cars, if the ECU allows itself to adapt to different octane gas, you'd still see a decent power gain with race gas over pump gas. You'd also see a power difference between 91 and 93 Octane. In some car's that are tuned for a certain octane level and won't change, adding higher octane fuel is just wasting your money. I don't know for sure, but I would suspect in a high performance car like a Corvette, it would reap the benefits of higher Octane fuel by giving you more power. |
