Skip the LSD, unless your car sees a lot of snow, I don't think it's worth it for everyday driving. Best bang for the buck mod however would be gears. I say that every time in the n52 tuning section. Torque multiplier is way more beneficial than any bolt-on mod and it'll be even better in daily driving. |

I'm not even really looking for more "speed" but more responsiveness, if that makes sense. Easier to pull out, and a less laggy throttle to make it easier to shift smoothly and rev-match.

If you want more low end response, or more "usable" power while sacrificing top end you should seriously consider gearing. |

Yeah I have CDV delete, and honestly I've gotten very comfortable in my e90- until I drive my e36 for a day or two then I'm back to less-than-smooth 1-2 shifts next time I'm in my e90.
Rev matching is much easier in the old car- the pedals are closer together.

Is there an easy way to change the gearing without changing tire size or get an LSD?

I know what you're talking about the 1-2 jerkiness... I find that letting the clutch out slower helps a lot, guess it comes down to timing... Gearing and tires are totally different. And yes, you can change the gears without getting a LSD. |

Sure did add a stop, and it definitely helped. I'll have to look into pedals. I actually wondered if there was a cover for the clutch pedal that would widen it, or just shift it over to the right.

Talk to Brett at KMS, he did my Quaife. At the time, I wanted to change my 3.46 to a 3.73 (didn't think a 3.64 was worth it) but unfortunately 3.73 is pretty hard to find. Brett also has some good info on his site: http://www.koalamotorsport.com/perfo...nal_drives.asp And for #'s on your stock gearing, check here: http://www.bokchoys.com/differential/GearRatios.htm And fwiw, anything above 10% in gearing will give u a kick in the pants feel, not necessarily bad but it'll be noticeable and some folks love it. 5-7% is more mild, could feel like it was oem and still nice upgrade nonetheless. I usually try to wear "flexy" bottom shoes when driving my e90 just to help with heel toe. This looks like it would help a lot.

Yeah really. Actually after I've looked at the pedal, I've about come to the conclusion that if I had about 1/4"-3/8" THICKER pad on the gas pedal, it would be better than a pedal with an extension to the left. I think the problem is the gas pedal sits so much further behind the brake pedal.

I can rev match easily with the side of my foot on this car... haven't needed to get on the brakes that hard to use HT.
