Jb4 "Alternative pedal to boost mapping"
I found this on the Jb4 command list, but not sure what it does.
I tried looking it up, but couldn't find any information about it. Does anyone have any experience with this function? What does it do exactly? |

Probably like with Cobb, they have Stock Throttle vs Linear Throttle maps. LT always made my car feel slow but several people like it.

By default the JB4 will give you the higher of the factory boost target and the JB4 boost target. When adding a back end flash if the flash is a "high load" flash, meaning greater than factory boost targets, then you get that boost happy flash tune gas pedal mapping along with it. For those that find it unsettling the 4/2 option allows you to ignore the DME boost target all together and always run the JB4 boost target which is linearly mapped to gas pedal input.

wow, all I can say is wow.
The car is soooooo much smoother under heavy partial throttle acceleration now. Night and day difference! Thanks!

is this for the standard backend flash, or something more aggressive? I'm going to do the basic backend in a month so I can run a nice e85 mix, will this be something I'll want to adjust at the same time to maintain driveability?

My car was jerky under partial throttle (60-70%) even before I got the backend flash.
