what kind of sound do your engines make when you shut them off?

if i open my door and listen when i shut it off it makes a very distinct clunk(sometimes -ing) sound, kinda like a normal engine would when you stall it, actually it sounds eactly like that, bugging the shit outa me

Mine sounds like jet engine powering down. It's a pretty cool sound. But I don't have them turbos.

Totally normal. Every 335i I've driven made that same sound at shut off.

It's the flywheel or something rattling, and it's normal. If you don't like the noise, hold in your clutch when you shut off the engine.

thx i tried engine stop clunk off and every combination and couldnt find anything, really need some search operators in the advanced search part
