torque gun question! + sqweeky rear wheels
whats the perfect setting for tightening the lug nuts with a torque gun. i have 162 18's. any help would be highly appreciated.
the reason why i ask is because my car is making a little squeak from 0-20 going slowly and my brother said his benz had the same problem and he figured out that his lugs wer too tight and after he loosened them the the sound went away. btw its only the rear wheels.

I set my torque wrench at 90lbs. Never use an impact wrench on your rims.

Bump all you want you have your answer right here. 90lbs is good, just need a quality torque wrench. Even the guys who mounted my wheels at the shop didn't use an impact wrench. They are fine for breaking lugs loose but should never be used to mount them. Remember to re-torque them after 50-100miles or so.
