New Guy in Omaha, 2006 330i

Hey BMW people. I just wanted to say hello. Its great to finally be in the forum where my heart has sat for years and years.
I have had many Mustangs and fun cars but finally got a 2006 Titanium Silver 330i. I traded in my Volvo S60 R (Faux BMW) which i actually loved but it was a nightmare to maintain. Lightning fast car that i will miss, but I'm damn proud to see a ///M on my shift nob instead of an R.

I just wanted to let you dudes know ill be lurking around as I am a sponge in search of knowledge. If you see me floating around town throw me a wave or just let your angel eyes meet mine with a flash.

Is your 328 an E46 by chance? I saw a really sick, what looked to be an E46 328 with a full aero kit and rims. Didn't get great look but it was at 168th and pacific yesterday at 4:15ish pm.

Nice, What color did you find? I used to live in lincoln. I went to UNL of course for 3 years...then came back to Omaha to finish up. Anyway, glad to see there are some locals around these forums!

Love Monaco Blue but yes I am a fan of White as well.. With a little tan Leather thats a beautiful look.

UNL is great for a good time but if your not 21 the party houses get old FAST!!!
Downtown is a blast tho.. I just like Omaha a little better due to more work opportunity and such. But I will admit I think I'm a rare breed of person, most people prefer UNL over Omaha any day.

How have you done with no front plate.. my front end is flawless and I refuse to drill holes in it..I know we have the option of buying the plate bracket that hooks into our tow handle but i dont like how it sides off to the side making it disproportional..........http://f10.5post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=485228

I do a lot of late night driving on the weekends and don;t wanna get pulled over with no plate.

Off topic but.... Next time it snows, would any of you guys be up for a night time photoshoot?
If its on a weekend maybe hit up the bars after lol
I took a pic of mine last time it snowed and it came out good, with a better camera and more cars it would make for a good photoshoot. One of the other XI guys and I plan on it.

cell pic i took last time at grocery store, to bad the halo's came out blurry:

Dude there is no way I would make a photoshoot in the snow. Last time it snowed it was what about an inch and half maybe? I couldn't even get out of my work parking lot. I had to call for a ride and left it over night... I have the 18 inch BMW 162s with low profile tires and didn't have any sandbags in the back... It was brutal I was barely able to get it out of the parking spot it was in. Even though it was a wet slippery rain that still pathetic! how did you guys do?

Do you think the sang bags will make a big difference?

not sure about the sand bags, my friend and I have the XI's (all wheel drive) with the all season run-flats, we get around perfect no matter how much snow there is on the ground, one of the 135i (rwd) guys has Blizzak's snow tires on his car and he said he gets around just fine

Ya I figured its the tires, which sucks pretty bad I traded in a silver 2004 Volvo s60 R for the BMW and I had a set of blizzaks sitting in my garage ready to go on the Volvo. But when I saw the BMW I knew I had to make the trade... Maybe a poor idea just before winter but i love my BMWs. I don't want to spring another 800-900 for 18 inch blizzaks but it may be necessary.
I did make 330 dollars for selling the tires tho so that was a great deal. Ill try out the sand bags tho!
