Wastegate rattle fix question

Does the rattle fix where you tighten the nut on the N54 wg also work on the N55?

This is really funny, because I'm having the same issue with the rattling.

I just got my turbo replaced apparently and I'm still getting rattle noise on cold start, pretty much the same as it was before the turbo replacement. I also think there are rattling noises between the 3000-4500rpm range, but only when driving and not stationary revving.

I'm wanting to go back to my dealer and have them look at it again, but they seem to be a little incompetent or have little knowledge of the rattle issue. In fact it was me who suggested they look at the wastegate.

Not sure if this is similar to the N54, but I think I'm going to ask about the vacuum pump..

Oh great...

We already have the first HPFP problems with the N55, now we have the first rattling wastegates...

Honestly, not too sure if it's the wg's or not. But I distinctly hear it coming from the passenger side front, usually lower speeds (when there's less exhaust noise to drown it out), at around 2200 rpm, and usually when the car is colder (my guess is my JB hasn't kicked in yet).

Mine is just the opposite-happens when it is fully warm. Have 9700 miles on the clock. Seems early in the game for a wastegate rattle. Where would the rattle noise come from?
Would it sound like it's coming through the dash?
I posted a thread in the N55 section about rattle from the engine bay with video. A trained ear can hear the RPMS peaking and making a buzzing rattle sound.
