Hi offers an exchange service, so you pay a £170 deposit, he sources a wheel, trims it etc.. then sends when done. You fit and send your old wheel back which he then keeps and returns your £170.

i dont get how this works?

so you give 170. he gets a steering wheel. trims it to how you want it. you send him your not trimmed wheel back and he gives you the money back?

so you get the trimmed wheel for free?

Banners was explaining how the exchange service worked, you still have to pay for what you want doing.

The 170 is just the deposit, the trimming is extra in my case was £110.
So it's £280 upfront but I you get £170 back once you send your wheel back to him.

Might be worth asking if he'd do an exchange where you paid the difference for an M Sport wheel.

He'd struggle to do that, he has to keep the wheel in stock so easier to source your own wheel and have him retrim it.

He did my E92 SE wheel, padded it and flat bottomed it, no different really to if he'd used an M sport wheel as the start point.

Highly recommended.

Yes no need to source a M-Sport wheel as i see the magic that was worked on a pre-LCI wheel in his gallery. Didnt realise that they could add the thumb pads etc.

Ive drop them an email asking for a quote.

What I did when I had mine done was I bought a really shitty wheel off eBay (£20) and sent it to Jack.
He trimmed it for the £110.
When I got it back I fitted it to my car and removed my old wheel.
I cleaned the old wheel up and stuck it in ebay as it was in good nic.

Got £50 for the old wheel so cut the cost of the trimmed one to £80
