Parkshore Motors, one of the local BMW dealers in North Vancouver, hosts their own event for driver training and in addition, drive hard at almost racing speeds at the Mission Raceway.
First half of day, it'll be skills building, things like accident avoidance, braking into a turn, finding apexes, etc....and then the rest of the day, for at least 3 hrs, its all TRACK TIME!! They host this twice a year, during the summer, i think once in May and once in July, its $250, including taxes for a whole day with catered breakfast and lunch

I have already completed Perfection last year but I am going back to do it again this year. May be this will give me enough urge to go for Fascination I next year.
Meanwhile I signed up my wife for Advanced II..... (she needs it)

Do we dare make this an event?
I'm down to check this out aswell, but I'm shy going by myself. Anyone else down to plan a day together?

You need to complete Advanced II before they will let you enroll in Perfection, so do your Advanced II early in the season before Perfection is all booked up.
You don't need any previous experience going into Advanced I or II. The instructors are excellent and they will guide you through, all the way from the most basic. You won't be doing any autocross either, just timed slalom at the end of the day. Autocross is for Perfection, and are done in M Coupes. At the end of Advanced I or II you should be able to get thru these cones at 55 - 60 km/H without hitting anything. You will aim at the centre cone (behind the patch of grass), build up speed, and the instructor will signal whether to pass to the left or to the right right when you are less than a second away from the first two cones. Trust me - if you listen to the instructions you can do it!! (Teaser: The tire marks are left by autocrossing sessions in Perfection, not from the collision avoidance exercise. See the next photo.) In advanced II you will do everything in Advanced I plus skid pad work. These courses are loaded with fun and are well worth it!

When I booked my Perfection last year they had to look up my past record to make sure I qualify. So looks like if you book it at the same time as Advanced II it is OK.

If a bunch of people are going, I don't mind doing it as well. I had a taste of it when they introduced the E90 at Downsview. That was a lot of fun...
