Can't wait to check out the evoque in person. If it's priced right I'd seriously consider trading in for one lol. But due to my addictive personality, I'm guessing I'll be over it in 3-6months time.
Still, it'll be cool to be one of the early adopters. And I'd def go with 20s or 22s or something p-i-m-p like that.
That's not pimp at all compared to the RR sports with the real gangstas

NOVEMBER 2011 is when the changeover occurs. Current model is the last iteration of the N52.

that's going to suck for resale lol... you buy a brand new car with a dated engine and 8months later they swap it out for a all-new engine?

seems silly.

That is what's happening though, N52 is on its last legs. Same changeover goes for the 528i and the X1 xDrive25i.

The announcement is all over bimmerpost homepage, just can't be effed to find the article.

Some facts I remember off the top of my head:

2.0L I4 with twin scroll turbo @ 17.4psi.
180kw/350nm

Yep it is. There are questions regarding how tuneable it is.

Wonder how they got it to be durable/reliable too - haven't heard of any car with boost pressure that high from the factory.

Evo, STi etc. all have stock boost higher than that don't they?

I know that the 1.2 turbo in the Polo and Golf runs 17.4psi as well. And that's a base model engine.
