Greetings from Perth!
Hi everyone I'd like to put up my hand and just say G'day really, I haven't gotten into the forum as much as I has previously hoped but it is better late than never over the past year since owning the e90 I have learnt quite a bit solely via the threads in here which is great to see people coming together sharing their knowledge and passions.
I'm Based in Perth -- Born and bred. At the moment I'm rolling in an '07 Pre-lci MSport which I bought from Sydney and trucked it here. Will put up a few photos once I get them off of my camera. Factory Options include: - Msport kit - 18" Mv3 staggered wheels 18x8 18x8.5 - Sunroof - Idrive/Satnav (business) - Comfort Access - Innovations package I Don't think I will be doing anything performance wise to the car due to the minimal gains compared to the costs that would have to be put in, If anything more aesthetic mods and detailing seems to be my little knack At the moment I have wrapped the steering wheel trim myself in 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fibre vinyl wrap because of it starting to peel. its been a good 6 months now and haven't had any peeling or lifting through our summer either. Changed the kidney grills to matte black (will be looking into getting these resprayed the same colour as the car, black sapphire metallic. Added a M3 styled bootlip: Also I currently have a set of 20W LED angel eyes (bought from HorizonLEDS here on the forum or HorizonLEDS.co.uk) shipped and on it's way which should be installed hopefully next weekend! as little things come up ill be posting them in here, ideas, thoughts and advice would be awesome and appreciated Side note: I will be saving up for a e92 m3 in alpine white, similar to "the orange one" I have seen his car parked out the front of my work in Subiaco about a month ago and I couldn't help myself to but to stare and take photos. was simply in awe! But yeah I hope to hear from some of you guys it would be good to see a few other bmw fans out there in the land down under. Peace, Sandro |

I'm in the process of upsizing to 19"s possibly just haven't found the right ones yet! Also looking into grabbing a set of e92 m3 suspension from a mate just having a look around through the forum if they are compatible fitment. By the looks of it I think so

Depends what parts of the suspension you wish to upgrade, if its shock and springs they wont fit albeit the majority of other components will

UPDATE 5/5/2014
Just ordered a set of avant garde m310 19" upsizing from the 18" 193 style msport wheels Going staggered 19's with Pirelli pzero 235/35 fronts and 265/35 rear. Shown below is a photo of them (not the actual ones, ordering them brand new should get them within a week) Purchased a INPA/ediabas K+dcan diagnostic cable last week still in delivery mainly for running a diagnostic prior to taking the car in for a service for my own reference in double checking errors dealerships might say need fixing, retrofit coding etc.. Also waiting on a set of 20w led Cree angel eyes which hopefully arrive today to get rid of the amber orange eyes to a crisp white. Also looking into changing the kidney grills again to an OEM Performance pre lci set as it looks much cleaner than the matte black and would flow with the gloss black trim around the doors/windows, and possibly vinyl wrapping the car if I come across a colour/finish that catches my attention. I'll update once the rims and lights are installed. Last edited by Ital92; 05-05-2014 at 01:56 AM.. Reason: Mistakes. |

Thanks mate, yeah I bought mine originally from eBay through a US Seller bought about 1.5x2m piece and still have a fair bit left, I did have a little bit of experience practising on my previous r34 skyline around the centre console trim, speedo cash cluster, interior map light surrounds etc..
Once you wrap something and look at the final product it looks like brand new again I'm not a major fan of the walnut wood either imo. |

Welcome to the forum . Great job on the wrap of the steering wheel. I would like to do that onto mine as when it peels it's annoying and ugly.

Thanks kaitan, yeah that's the reason why I decided to wrap mine in the first place. It wasn't looking nice at all, heads up before I applied the vinyl I removed all of the peeling material back to plastic and then cleaned it with isopropyl alcohol, haven't had any issues with it at all

New Shoes and eyes!
Turns out the wheels and tyres I ordered came much earlier than we expected! (order on midday Monday, arrived Friday morning)
Really happy how they turned out they So much nicer in person than staring at them on a Flat LCD screen. Looking at picking up a set of new BMW centre caps that to get some of the blue in the badges to add a focal point to the wheels and break up all of the blackness Earlier this week my Angel Eyes LEDS arrived from HorizonLEDS and managed to get around to installing them just before the wheels arrived, taking photos with these lights are pretty tricky trying to find the sweet spots that showcase it's light closest to truelight as you would see them in person but I must say... Wow... these lights are kickass! Matches the factory Xenon low beams and gives the car a complete new crisp look. i'll Send some photos to Them also if they would like to use them for their website I would be more than happy to allow them. I also just uploaded a quick 1 minute video on YouTube which could help anyone looking into these possibly in the future. |

Wheels are staggered but i forgot the offset, i'll check hopefully tomorrow.
Tyres are 265/30r19 Rears and 235/35r19 With Pirelli Cinrturato's... much better than the Dunlop sport SP maxx's that came with the car Very little road noise, smooth driving and a much better grip! Have no issues with clearance -- fronts are close but I wouldn't mind dropping it a little lower all round |

Looks like its brighter than the BMR AE that I have....
Tempted to buy one to replace my current BMR. Ital92, how's brightness of the outer ring? Mine look dull....due to the design of the AE, but I am guessing if yours have higher voltage, your outer ring may look brighter? Anyone knowing what's the voltage of the BMR AE please? |

As you can see from the photos and video the brightness of the outer and inner ring are the same as they come out from the same unit. 2 LEDs per unit (one per ring at 20w ea)

and the outer ring looks dull as the light is transferred to the outer ring while the inner ring is closer to the bulb itself? does E90 have one AE bulb for each ring? |
