You guys ever consider detailing your cars yourself? For the cost of most places, you can get a lot of good stuff to care for your ride yourself. Learning to two-bucket wash (with Grit-Guard inserts), clay, clean your wheels (proper wheel cleaner and brushes), etc will all pay off in the long term as you're car will look like-new for years.

Yes, I detail my own car all summer long, but once in the spring I like to have it professionally cleaned. Mostly to get all of the salt/winter grime off the foot wells and to have the leather thoroughly cared for.

Fair enough. Keep in mind that some good All Purpose Cleaner and a shop-vac work well on the salt on carpets, and those WeatherTech floor matts are awesome and worth the investment IMO.
Additionally, look into Leatherique products and Leather Master products: best stuff for leather I've found. |

On the way home from work today I ran a bit with a red E90 335xi (pre-LCI). Tint, time attacks, not sure what else; good looking car - minus the dirt .
This was on Southbound 75 between Grand Blanc and Auburn Hills. Is this guy on the forum?

I got my tint done at sunshade, they did a pretty good job, they didn't carry formula1 tint when i got it done, bout 2 years ago. But i would recommend them, i went 35%, if anything i think it's a bit light, would like it a little darker.

Hey fellow Michiganders. I am new to the forum.
Can anyone help me out with a referral to a good shop who can install an aftermarket downpipe on 2011 335xi? I tried Munks - they haven't done one before on my model so don't want to be guinea pig. I also tried Nikolas Motorsport - they didn't know what a downpipe was... no idea why but I don't want to take any chances. |

I went with 15% in the back doors and Rear windshield and 35% in the front. It doesn't look as off as it sounds if it's done right.

I had my car done recently at Detail Express in keego harbor and they did a suberb job. They even nailed the dot matrix! They use a better film, lumar, which is high up there with pinnacle |
