removing resonator box

does anyone know if removing the resonator box on an e93 3301 will increase the noise level, I have bmw performance back box, lovely tone but too quiet

Slightly but you will need to figure out how to go from 2 2 1/4 pipes to a 2 5/8 it's just easier to redo all of it if you are starting back that far

that's your resonator well at least that's what we call it in the states.. it shouldn't make a big difference if u take it off but I should bump the sound a bit.. not a lot.. if u want more sound id remove that and also the secondary cats as well..

im running bmw performance exhaust and it didn't came with a resonator and I also removed the secondary cats and it sounds good

It'll be a bit deeper but you'll hear some drone that's for sure. It's only like a $40 mod so go for it. If you don't like it put it back on.
