new E92 335i m-sport in the driveway

I sold my last BMW in October 2006 and have had quite a few cars since. Truth is: nothing else feels anything close to a BMW...a true driver's car.

I started searching for a 2009-2010 335i coupe. I had to have a manual transmission (it seems that only about 5 -7% of these cars are stick shifts!) and I wanted the M-sport package too. And no x-drive for me. The combination of N54 coupe, manual trans, m-sport (09-10), and RWD seems to be super rare.

I found an 19,000 mile Alpine White, Black Dakota, Gray Poplar, Heated Seats, PDC, Headlight Washers, Logic 7, iPod, SAT radio, 19" M225 wheels, and it is a CPO car too. Not loaded up but great for me.

It has the BMW PPK and a fresh set of Michelin Super Sport tires (I bought a BMW M-mobility kit for the trunk). I put in a short throw clutch stop (best $10 ever) and a modified CDV. The car runs strong and I'm excited to be back in a BMW. The summer-only tires are going to keep it in the garage for most of the winter, but I'll enjoy it on the warmer days.

Thanks to many of you for your help with my search. I look forward to learning more from you.

Nice ride. Everyone says that a RWD, MT, M-sport, is hard to find yet they always find it.

Yes, you're right. With patience and the time to search, you'll find one.

Today on Autotrader:

2009-2010 335 coupes -

458 335i coupes for sale in the US
54 are listed as manual trans. cars.
XX? of the 54 are AWD cars?
XX? of the 54 are RWD cars?
XX? of the 54 RWD cars are M-sport cars?

Today on cars.com

2009-2010 335 coupes -

693 335i coupes for sale in the US
67 of those are manual trans cars
27 of the 67 are AWD xDrive
37 of the 67 manual trans cars are RWD 'i'
~7 of the 37 are M-sport cars

IF I haven't messed this up too much (27 & 37 = 64, not 67) - only 7 of 693 are RWD, MT, M-sport. These are just quick cars.com #'s and not exactly scientific, I know.

And of those 7 - find one with a lemon-free title, clean carfax and accident free history, and the color and options that you prefer. Crazy.

I think they are rare in comparison to most others.

Beautiful car. Perfect combo. I went through a similar search except I had to have xDrive (it's my daily and i live in MA). Sacrificed MSport and a bit on the mileage to get it.

Anyhow, planning any mods?

I'd recommend paint matched reflectors asap and then falling into downward spiral from there.

Enjoy!

Great find! About half a year ago I was on the same boat as you; I wanted all those things you've mentioned and I also wanted my car to be alpine white. I looked for a while and finally found one. My car is almost identical to yours, similar mileage too lol.

funny. i always promise myself that i won't touch the car...leave it stock...blah, blah, blah. then it starts. i had a 2009 Pontiac (Australian M5!)) G8 GXP LS3 car, manual transmission, 1 of 1,828. same problem. within months i put old-school long tube headers on it, a tune, shifter, etc. etc. crazy.

this 335i already has the BMW Power Performance Kit. i added the glossy black 'performance grills' last week along with a clutch stop and CDV. it's already started. the grills may be for sale soon as i'm not sure i'm feeling them.

that's great. i've always been a sucker for white cars and the gray poplar trim is fantastic! it's pretty much how i would have ordered it...i prefer garmin NAV over any factory NAV so it's all good.

thanks.

Nice looking car bud. I went through a similar search earlier this year, I started my research and about 9 months later I found the one I wanted on a wednesday, it was home by friday. Pretty much the same as yours just 193 wheels and auto. No PPK though, keep the black grills if I may make a suggestion; they look much better and distinguishes your car a bit from others.

I think they look better than stock. The previous owner of my car car had matte black grills. To me looked a bit tacky so I ended up putting the stock ones back a month after I bought my car.

Nice ride...congrats man. White is always cool !

In my case I was searching for a 2-3 yr old Porsche Cayenne SUV and then found my Red e93 black interior 6MT with silver trim. There was no looking back :-)
