Did you damage the cylinders in your motor? Is forged Pistons good for the street in a n52? My mind wonders when I get the bug and have thought amount all kinds of mods,I can't afford to maintain a m5 so anyway, what about stock n54 pistons, they seem to take 600hp?or are they the same? All the mn54 guys yousta say you can't make power with a n52, I can see vendors putting effort into this, wait till there is a turbo setup, only time. Keep us posted on the motor rebuild or what you desire to do

That bent rod sounds like a tuning issue,I read guys running meth bend rods also. Motors very rarely break under normal circumstances, even running a safe fuel octane,it's the nos or the meth in gas form that's not distrubuted right. That's the only thing that's scares me is the proper tuning, but hey the n52 in a dime a dozen!. Good luck on your build!

If you had upgraded the ignition coils and colder plugs and ran a 75 wet I believe you would have been just fine

From the sound of it, it seems like you doubled the original power of the engine. How is that not good? If anything, it tells me that the thing is rather excellent. For 335 to double it's power, they have to be pushing over 600hp. |

My buddy on his 335i is at 750whp stock motor, had done many many races like that and his motor is fine, I upped my power to about 75% and did 2 races on my last jetting and my motor exploded. Yes it held but I meant it isn't made to hold that much power reliably especially with nitrous. On a turbo or supercharger it would be most likely safer since nitrous is literally making a bigger explosion to make power

So,what are your plans now,are you still building your motor? There has been talk about bolting a n52 head on a n54 block, could make a killer build. It's been said the numbers are slowly climbing up,with proper tuning ,I bet you can be in the high 450 safely. Those are great numbers for an engine that cam with 215hp I'm still in process with my kit and taking time to wire all the proper avenues,I may run the n54 manifold,it's just a better design for spray, not so many runners. Good luck and keep it touch with your build

Your car wasn't tuned properly for what you were running. That's not to say the N52 can handle 350ft-lbs, but you weren't really helping the cause.

Ok, so if I run wet 75 occasionally - then I should be fine right?
Anyone can suggest a good place in Arizona to buy and install properly a wet 75 kit? Thanks |

I know there isn't many write ups with this, not many people run nos on a Bmw. I did mine cause there nothing for big power besides the ess supercharger. I'm running a zex box,I found a good deal on a used kit. I had a hard time finding a spot for it,I would buy solidnoids. A 100 shot is fine for a stock motor with no tune. I run a mix of e85 for the octane and keeping the intake cooler. This was one of my best mods to do.

I have a nitrous kit laying around which I am thinking of installing on my n52b25 325. Before proceeding I have a question to those running nitrous with a WOT on a manual; how does this affect rev matching and heel-toeing? I would imagine spraying a 75-shot in to an engine essentially in neutral might not be that good of an idea.
