!st time BMW buyer Help Needed. 320d M-Sport
Hi all, Im writing for a bit of advice as a 1st time BMW buyer.
Im currently at buying a 320d M sport i have seen advertised locally. It is an 06 Reg and has 70k on the clock with a Full BMW service History. basically im just wanting to know key things i should look out for before buying the car, are there any major common things to look out for on the car? Also im unsure weather the miles should be putting me off... or is it true that the diesel BMW's run forever? Many thanks in advance Darren |

Morning Darren
About 6 months ago I bought a 320D E90 2005, it had 80,000 on the clock and has been running sweetly so the milage shouldn't put you off and yes they run forever! As for things to look out for I would check the exhaust, especially after all this cold weather and the salt on the road. Then all the usual checks, if nothing flags up on a test drive i would suggest you have a good buy. Good luck with the new purchase! Ben |

There are a proportion of diesels that have suffered turbo failures over the years, which can damage the engine. BMW extendedwarranty might be worthwhile. |

Stop moaning and buy it!
seriously though if its got a full BMW service history it should be ok, think you can ask BMW for the work that has been done to it over its life. Also 80,000 miles is nothing for a BMW diesel, my previous car had 64,000 on it when i changed it, drove like the first day i collected it from the garage with 6 miles on it! |

Paint condition and swirl marks are something to look out for,BMW's of late have very poor paint/clearcoat also cracked alloys if shod with 19" M sports 225 style.
I had a new steering race fitted on mine under warranty. It's a know recall. |
