Does a 08 e92 store all your speed info somewhere?

ive searched and havent found anything, so im sorry if this is a basic question. if so, how can i delete that info?

Most vehicles have what they call a "black box." It would not be user accessible or changeable as they use this information in the state of a crash to determine reasons as to WHY the crash may of happened. I am not sure on what BMW uses.

But I believe these black boxes only store a few seconds of information. They are interested in only the conditions immediately preceeding a crash. So history further back than a few seconds isn't kept.

I'm pretty sure the key holds the top speed reached in the car, but that's about it other than the black box
