Anyone have these? Looking at a set on ebay but there are no door cards listed. Would i be better off waiting for a leather set?

I'm not so sure; I had the leather in my M Sport and whilst I loved the colour (red) I wasn't impressed with the quality - it was as tough as an elephant's ball sack. I had heated leather (which in this weather is absolutely necessary) - so you'll need to put the necessary wiring in place for that to happen.

If I were spec'ing a non-M3 E92 (the M3 uses a different, better-quality leather) right now I'd rather have the half alcantara interior over the leather. When I've sat in non-leather equipped cars I found the extra 'give' in the fabric seats made them, by default, more supportive, as one sat marginally lower in the seat.

Cloth seats in the SE are very comfortable if a little boring looking, kind of hoping the Msport Alcantara seats will be the best of both worlds if you know what i mean mate.

I think it would be the best option. I really liked the alcantara set up and at the time, wished I'd stuck to my guns and spec'd that instead of being swayed to leather. Go for it, I say. You can always resell for close to, if not exactly, what you pay. Ergo you only loose the time it takes to rip out your old one and install the new one. You will LOVE the sports seats after the SE seats

We had alcantara in Fiona's touring, much nicer than leather I had in my 335i.
Plus when it came to sell it it was different as everyone thinks they need leather.

Balls, the one i was bidding on now been removed from ebay. Looking at the sellers feedback, not the first time he has done this either so probably a good thing.

Love Alcantara but not the most practical when carrying kids about. That said I'd order it if there was the option. I think the Alcantara in the F10 looks superb as I believe it carries on over the transmission tunnel.

I had Alcantara in my old E46 330.. I reall liked it, looked good, felt good, wore good.. But boy did I struggle to sell it on. As soon as they knew it didn't have leather they weren't interested.

So I made a point of getting leather in my current E90.

Yeah I was after leather for my e90 but could not get it. Now it seems eveyone I see has leather the thing I wld say from having leather in my previous a4 is the weather issue the seats arent freezing in winter which is great & they dont burn the arse off ya in the summertime. Since ive got 2 kids I got the seats treated with guard x & it comes with a 5 year guarantee.

Had leather in my E46 330 Sport Convertible, never making that mistake again! Getting into it after leaving the roof down on a sunny day

I love the look of the Msport seats and prefer Alcantara to leather. If i cant find alcantara then i will end up buying leather i guess.

i find leather a bit slippy when making progress so prefer Alcantara, tends to "hold" better.

though leather is nicer on the bare bottom

Funnily I had same thought when I ordered mine e90 and decided on stock in long run it proved right. I found leather in most cars to hot and since I suffer from psoriasis it did not help getting hot.

I much prefer the alcantara grip and comfort and funnily enough jump over to the US side of things on here and they alll want this. IMO the best setup woudl be middle section on seat and back from alcantara and side bolsters from leather. Something I wish they would do.

I had alacantra on my 335d and after having leather in all my cars for 15 years I much prefered the alacantra BUT it was a complete b**ch to sell and I lost a fair bit of cash.

This ^^^

Quite a few performance cars in the past used to have this but they seem to have fallen out of favour for some reason. I think the alcantara centre and leather bolsters is the perfect setup, just a shame that years of indoctrination by car salesmen means that a non-leather car is seen as less desirable now.

Totally agree its as if all leather is perferc. In fact for some people its worse. The only benefit of leather I can see if you have kids its far easier to clean. Otherwise I rather half half leather with cloth or ideally alcantara middle. Only time I dont mind full leather is as on top end mercs where its perforated seats so your back breathes on long drives

Leaves me in a conundrum for next car as if I get 330D it comes standard with leather, might have to be 328i for just that reason

Non lci car - lci seats - ok with some re-wiring of airbag connectors
Lci car - non lci seats - no

If its the interior that I posted up....the rear chairs look like lci, but need a pic of the front seats.
