Pretty sure my water pump just quit out at 68,000 miles. Two engine overheat notices in quick succession, fan running at insane speeds, can't feel any pressure in upper radiator hose. No CEL or iDrive check control messages though, I'll have to hook it up to INPA later and pull the codes.

$1,050 for the job at my indie shop. Coughed up $500 for VANOS solenoids last September. Then hit a pothole a couple weeks ago and killed a wheel and a tire, so that'll be another few hundred to get that replaced. Ugh.

Oh, you're due for a failure soon then.

I was about to buy a Route 66 warranty for $2,000 too, which would have covered it. After the repair is done, I'm going to either buy the warranty still (and take the slap in the face of having just flushed away a grand on something that would've been covered if I bought the warranty a little sooner) or just sell the car since I'm betting it turns into a money pit soon.

Yes. Had it done through CPO on my E39 at 60K or so, way back when...

Looks like you are on Rial for your winter rims. I have a brand new extra one that I was planning to use as a spare if you are interested. Let me know.

Will do! I still have to take the tire off the wheel and figure out exactly what happened. I think the rim is cracked, but I'm not sure yet.

Not that I am a huge fan of street racing but wtf. No one and I mean no one I meet on the road will even play around. I get all excited to see a riced out subie pull along side and they refuse to race. Same with a modded stang, modded wrx, modded mazdaspeed 3, and a few others this week.
