Airstrip Drag Days in Mid-Atlantic?

I'm sure we've all seen the videos from overseas and even some part of the US where owners drag race down empty airstrips.

In case you haven't...


Does anyone know of any airstrip/airports in the mid-atlantic that open up to the public for drag days?

Won't be easy. Otherwise it would have been done repeatedly by now.

I did see a group of guys on this forum do this at an airstrip somewhere in NY a couple years back. However, it didn't look like the runway was nearly long enough for high speed pulls.

It can be done locally. See the video below of an airport that was rented out in Virginia:

EDIT - Also, my brother fly's C130's for the United States Coast Guard so I will see if he can find out more info on this.
