335xi Test Drive..wow..but the price..oww!!

So, I took my test drive of the 335xi and I got no words on it's performance..I love the way it drives.. i felt like I was driving on the autobahn when I was cruising from 0-140.. I was willing to buy the vehicle instead of a lease cuz I think it's a keeper... My monthly payments are coming to $996 for a $50,000 vehicle for 7.25% interest rate for 60 months.. I have an awesome credit score..750+. The dealer is actually asking $1750 over invoice. Do u guys think it's a good deal? I estimated payments to be like $650-$700 a month seeing what other people were paying for their e90s on this forum.

What do u guys think? any advise plz..?

You may want to consider leasing. You will always have the option of buying after the lease if you like it, and your monthly payments will be much lower.

Unlike leasing, If you are financing your monthly payments are only dependant on interest rate, price and term...therefore, a good deal is purely based on the price and interest rate. I've heard people get a better price (not me), but i'm pretty sure that 7.35% interest is the going rate for the 335...

Try eloan, they have a pretty good rate. I got in last month at 6.59%. 1750 over invoice isn't bad IMHO. I paid $500 below MSRP. But I got the coupe.

If you are really talking invoice and not sticker, then that's not bad. You're not buying a Honda or a Chevy. If you haven't already, send feelers out to the director of internet sales for every dealer in whatever your comfort radius is. I assume since your're in Chicago, that there are plenty of dealers. I found in Phoenix that there are some who don't respond, some who play games, and then there are some who really want to sell cars. I am sure the same situation exists across the country.

Irregardless, anything under the sticker price is not a bad deal. I paid $2K under the sticker, which was still over invoice, and was considered an excellent deal back in March. You are working through the internet division though, right? You didn't just walk in off the street, did you?

I'm about to pull the trigger and order a 335xi. I have pretty much decided to try leasing for the first time. I like the idea of getting a new car every few years.

What sucks is the MF for a 335xi is so much higher than a 335i. It makes the lease payment almost $100 more per month than a 335i at the same price.

The one I spec'd out has an MSRP of $52,145, and the dealer will sell it to me at $50,580. I'm going to try to get that down a bit more. 36 month lease, 63% residual, 0.00275 MF, and the payments before tax are $722.

That interest rate seems VERY high. So does the payment! Yikes.

Talking I think for the price you are doing quite ok. Shop around for a bank with better rate

I also got 7.25% with BMW FS. I have 768 score, and no the rate is fixed not based on your score unless you have so-so credit then it goes up. I had no choice because I was doing ED, so BMW FS was only bank I could use. I'll get a better rate elsewhere after my car is redelivered. You may want to shop around for a better rate from a different lender. For Finance, your payments are spot on. I did same thing, so I know. DON'T Lease the car if you already know you are keeping it, you will save yourself quite a bit. I was going to lease too, but with car optioned out as I suspect you have, you will pay maybe $150 less a month, and if you use Edmund's lease\finance comparator calculator, you might be suprised how much a lease will really be costing you over finance. I am sure you have pretty sweet ride. Maybe you can skip some expensive but not must have features such as active steering and active cruise control, PDC if you can park fine etc. Just a suggestion. What did you get?

Give Irv a call. He's a dealer sponsor in IL. He may be able to take care of you.

Do you have a credit union or anything? Finance through them, I got mine at 5.9% and my credit is probably barely in the 700's if that.

I tried to get everything except active steering, pdc(I park great ), active cruise control, power rear sunshade.. In my opinion, I might have to cut off navigation, sirius satellite, 6 cd changer and High-dev radio too.. to save money.

BMWFS is horrible... I mean horrible with rates. My score is just below yours and i'm just over 6%. 1.xx% difference will also help lower your payment. Also leasing a vehicle and then buying it out at the end is just a piss poor decision. If you add up what you paid to lease it then buy it out by financing the buyout cost it'll make you sick...

You could always put cash down to bring down the payment, usually for every $10k it's about $200mo less.

Hope that helps.

I can give good prices and great service, but I don't have any control with the rates since our finance department needs to get paid as well. We're the largest dealer in the state and to carry a 23m inventory ,we need to make a profit.Everyone that sells a product, makes a profit or they're out of business,it's very basic.

Dude dealership are like shark.. They give u good deal in front...like drop the price on the car that watever u want. At the end, they hit you with high interest rate . They will find little crapping stuffs on ur credit report and say "oh yeah your credit isnt meet the require to get you GREAT DEAL. The BEST i can DO is give you about 10.50 % on a 5 years with 899 per month plan.." They want to hit u hard and lets the bargain beginning.. The reason behind that when the rather give up a car to a customer, and GAIN BUYING POWER OR 1st in Line for the HOT CAR like m6 6 series m5 or m3 or e93 cabrio. THOSE car do make the dealership profit cause they are higherly in demand. DONT ever say to a customer I dont have any control with the rate. NO SECRET . NO MERCY for any Dealership

FS Dept can give u the car and hit you with a high interest rate.. come on.. You can trick Young people or first time buyer. You cant trick Return customer..
