I will likely leave the badge on my car, but after seeing these pictures it does look "cleaner" with the badge removed.

The only time I have problems with badging is when people put on badges for upper level models on thier car. This type of thing is getting out of hand in the NYC area. In the past week I have seen supposed AMG model MB cars with 3-digit numbers (i.e. AMG CLK320). I also saw an E90 330i with base 16 inch wheels, non-chromed exhaust and black kidney grill. The worst of all was some car (looked like an old Ford Escort with Mercedes badges (front and rear 3 pointed star, C220 on th e rear, and Kompressor on the side fender).

Maybe in a few months we will start seeing fake 335's too.

Dave C., the Carrera 4S looks nothing like the turbo, so he obviously wasn't trying to fool anyone. Maybe you should do more observing rather than talking...

I debadged my car the night that I took it home... I think it looks much better without the badge, but I don't think the car looks bad with it on... I definately hate it when people rebadge to things that they are not! If I see another S500 AMG in houston I am going to hurt somebody...

"real German guy" anyway we have several German Nationals who work with us on the flightline and they have told me that their insurance premiums are based on engine displacement and HP so it would almost be to their benifit to hide the badging.

I have never seen a debadged 330 here in Michigan, but you can see a shitload of debadges 325's.

Whenever I see the penis-envy debadges 325 I chuckle....!

Easier to clean isn't an excuss, I'm meticulious about my car as many Bimm owners are... cleaning or waxing around and between the badge takes a whole 20 minutes.

Asthetically pleasing for a cleaner look only seems to work on 325's... isn't that weird ??

does it really matter whether you debadge or not? can't you tell the difference between 325 and 330 right off the bat? unless they're modded, of course. other than that though, almost every side of the car indicates subtle differences that can be easily noted.

It really DOESN't matter what someone does to their car... but they will still have to endure the snickers and laughes of peers that have disdain for such things...!!

Wear a cheesy outfit to the bar... it might not matter to you that people laugh... but when they do, don't complain or post about it. Don't defend your reasoning for wearing that outfit and certainly don't think we don't know any better. It's our opinion and if you don't car what others think, then why all the posts...?
